Big Data is well established and growing. Big data is being used to diagnose illnesses, perform predictive maintenance, and analyze trends in supply and demand. In fact, it’s growing at such a fast rate it’s creating problems we had not foreseen. One of the most obvious is the shortage of qualified data scientists who know how to collect, organize, and search extremely large quantities of data to find insights that are useful to some community – and there is no limit to the number of communities. Personal privacy is another large concern, as big data requires large amounts of personal information to work. Without accurate security measures, this data is highly susceptible to hacking.
